WHAT TO EXPECT

Each Sunday, you’ll worship with a live band at Ames City Hall Auditorium, then hear the same message preached at our main location via livestream or in person by our teaching team.

LOCATION & DIRECTIONS

We meet at Ames City Hall Auditorium (North entrance on 6th St.) in the heart of Downtown Ames. Whether you’re driving, walking, or riding CyRide, getting here is easy.

Why Downtown Ames?

Mark Vance, our lead pastor, sat down with Alex Tuckness, one of our elders, to talk through the vision behind Cornerstone Downtown.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Have another question? Text us at 515-232-5488 and a staff member will be in touch!

We’re carefully considering the best way to manage continued growth at Cornerstone. We’ve added seats to our auditorium and experimented with adding services. Now, we believe the best way to serve a growing congregation may be adding a location that makes it easier for people to worship with us each week.

Listen to the Equip Podcast as Pastor Mark Vance and elder Alex Tuckness share more about the ‘why’ behind Cornerstone Downtown.

Ames City Auditorium gives Cornerstone a downtown location that’s easier to reach for people who walk, ride the bus, or come from the University. Renting the City Hall Auditorium for a semester allows us to run a feasibility study to learn if an additional location could be a long-term solution.

No! Cornerstone Downtown is simply an additional location led by the same staff and elders with a unified vision.

Yes! Cornerstone Kids is available for infants through 5 years old, with teaching from the Bible in creative, age-appropriate ways.

Learn About Cornerstone Kids

Services start at 9:00a and 10:30a, starting January 24. Each service is about one hour long.

Thank you for praying with us! We would love for you to pray for wisdom as we decide how to steward the growth God has given our church. Please pray that this new location opens doors for the gospel to more people in Ames.

We’d love for you to help this new location run smoothly and serve our city well! Please submit this application to volunteer downtown.

There’s plenty of parking right next to the building, and street parking is free on Sundays! City Hall is a stop on CyRide’s Red and Green routes. Check cyride.com for Sunday times.
