God created all of us with an inherent need for community. It is in the context of meaningful relationships with other believers that we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25). Connection Groups are the way we establish this kind of biblical community.
These groups of 8-15 people meet in homes in Ames and the surrounding communities throughout the week to offer a life-on-life context to connect and grow. We desire our people to become a God-honoring family, applying the Word of God to their lives, serving each other and the community in which they live, and growing in maturity and number as others are brought into the fold of God (1 Peter 2:9-10).
JOINING A CONNECTION GROUP
Each of our groups has its own feel, but at the core has the same objectives and core values. To join a Connection Group for the first time, we offer a 4-week on-ramp class called Launch Point. This class will help you understand what to expect in a Connection Group, your role in a Connection Group, and help you find the right Connection Group. We will offer Launch Point during one of our Sunday services for 4 weeks from:
- Sunday July 8, July 15, July 22, and July 29
- Sunday Sept 9, Sept 16, Sept 23, and Sept 30
