Cornerstone Ankeny
Our church family in Ankeny
On September 9, 2012, Cornerstone became one church with multiple locations. Our desire is to be a light for the gospel in other communities using the resources that we have been given.

Though we’re in a school, it’s a great environment with much to offer.
- It’s a small church feel with large church resources. We work hard to give it the Cornerstone ethos.
- The Ankeny location opened in September 2012 and is Cornerstone’s second site. The auditorium has seating for more than 500.
- The worship music is live and the message is a video from the Ames site from the same day’s 9:00a service. Most people say that after the first couple of minutes, they find themselves engaged as if the teacher were right in front of them.
- We offer D6 Weekend classes for infants through second grade during the service and D6 Beliefs (a training workshop) for third through fifth grade children and their parents.
- There are plenty of Ankeny and Ames staff and volunteer leaders to serve you.
Here are some ways to connect beyond the weekend service.
- Connection groups. CGs are the core of the small-group life at Cornerstone. Hosted in homes in the Ankeny area, these groups of eight to fifteen people offer a smaller contect for the study of the Bible, fellowship, accountability and service. Click here to find a group.
- Gatherings for youth and college students. 180 (middle school), Escape22 (high school) and The Salt Company (college) meet weekly at the Ames location. These groups draw students from many schools around central Iowa, so you won’t feel out of place as an Ankeny or DMACC student.
- Special events. From time to time, we offer special events just for the Ankeny site. These are unique events that you can’t get anywhere else—not even at the other Cornerstone sites. Check out the calendar for more information.
