What We Believe

We believe in one God, the creator of heaven and earth, as He has revealed Himself in the Bible. He is loving and just and desires a relationship with us. We are made in His image. As individuals with free will, we have the freedom to respond to the relationship God s initiated with us, or not.

We are free to choose to live outside the realm of the life God has for us as it’s explained in the Bible. Making even seemingly small decisions that separate us from God is called sin. We all do it, and we’ll continue to do so, and even then, God will love us and passionately pursue us.

God loves us so much that He sent his only son, Jesus, to die so that we could live. The cost of sin is separation from God—spiritual death—but the sacrifice of Jesus is sufficient to pay for the sin of all people. This free gift from God is waiting for anyone who wants to receive it. If we decide to believe this, we will receive full and everlasting life with God. This is called grace, which God gives freely and abundantly.

As part of God's universal church, we seek to help people know and obey Jesus Christ, the living Son of God, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
